We are really sorry but Bellflower Nursery and the Walled Garden will be remaining temporarily closed, whilst the heatwave and prolonged dry spell continues. Our main aim is to keep our plants, produce and borders alive
To our customers who are waiting on mail order, we won't be sending out plants also for this reason.
Sincere apologies to everyone for the inconvenience. We will keep you posted.
We're at Wyken Farmers' Market this Saturday 14th July
Bellflower Nursery is open Thursdays and Fridays 10 till 4

REDUCING OUR PLASTIC USAGE – a notice to our customers
Our new season is fast approaching and our thoughts at Bellflower Nursery are turning to slowly but surely losing a good part of our plastic usage. Historically the horticultural industry has been heavily reliant on plastic and we feel we must do something to change this.
As a small first step, customers buying our plants will be offered a choice regarding the pot. We will be happy to keep the plastic pot and decant the plants into newspaper and put them into bags customers bring along. We reuse the pot to grow on another one of our plants.
As an extra incentive, 10p will be taken off the price of each plant purchased without a plastic pot. There will be collection boxes for our chosen charities
should customers wish to donate. This system of recycling means we avoid buying new pots and our customers won’t stockpile plastic ‘empties’ at home. We are also looking into our labelling methods. Customers are always very complimentary about our handwritten black labels, but once again they are plastic. We’ll keep you posted on this...
